Chiang Rai is a small, quiet, and charming city. A former capital of the great Lanna Kingdom (in the late 13th century covered most of Northern Thailand). Today it’s famous mainly for three temples: White Temple, Blue Temple, and Black Temple. This is definitely the city of colorful wats!

There are plenty of attractions around town (except temples) like markets, bazaars or beautiful full of natural places. Let’s discover them! The best way to travel in Chiang Mai is to rent your own motorbike. Must-see places are quite far away.
