Horní Police (Czech Republic)
The area of the pilgrimage church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary is located on an elevation above the village of Horní Police on the left bank of the Ploučnice River.
The complex includes the Church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary surrounded by an ambulatory with five towers, a free-standing bell tower and the building of the archdeaconry. The complex was built in its present form between 1688 and 1724 on the order of Julius Franz of Saxe-Lauenburg and his daughter Anna Maria Franziska of Tuscany according to the designs of Giulio Broggio and Václav Špaček.
Since 2018 the site has been a national cultural monument. In 2018-2021, it is undergoing a complete restoration.
