Torre de Moncorvo (Portugal)
The town of Torre de Moncorvois located half-way up the Serra do Reboredo, at the confluence of the Rivers Douro and Sabor. The municipality, to a large extent, is covered by the Demarcated Region of “Port Wine” and, to a small extent, by the area classified as World Heritage by UNESCO, being a producer of wines of excellence. The municipality is part of the Vilariça Valley, which from an agricultural point of view is one of the most productive in the country. Torre de Moncorvo, the “Land of Iron”,produces quality olive oil and is the largest producer of almonds in the country.
