Želiezovce (Slovakia)
Želiezovce are located in the east of the Podunajská pohorkatina, on the right bank of the Hron river. Although in terms of population they rank among smaller, actually small towns, the history of Želiezovce ranks among the giants.
At the end of the 19th century, they became the residence of the noble Esterházy family, thanks to which today's famous historical figures such as the composer Franz Schubert and the Sacher family came to Želiezovice. I invite you to a small trip to the past and I believe that Želiezovce will excite and surprise you. The history of Želiezovce and its surroundings is documented by the City Museum and the Franz Schubert memorial room in Želiezovce.
